Italian Plasterworks combined with John Match Painting to paint and plaster two buildings for a domestic violence safe house in San Diego as part of Extreme Makeover My Hometown. Our challenge was to create not only a sense of warmth and safety but to add durability to the surfaces. In the large common dining kitchen area we choose to paint a Tuscan yellow and below we applied a very durable red and terra cotta colored plaster finish which will allow for easy clean up. In the baths we choose to do a thick yet melodic texure to cover up previous damage.
